The CatFAC federation organized its first cup among the federated associations to be able to assess the quality of the best work from each of them and their growers. The cup consisted of 4 modalities divided into: interior earth, interior hydro, exterior and resins. To assess which of them were the best, factors such as the appearance of the samples and their aroma were taken into account, without discounting the taste and effect. They were part of the professional jury Energy control, Soft Secrets and Fundaciòn Alchimia Solidària.
2ND PLACE FOR WASHING MACHINE
This time the boys from the Cannamitch association were the winners in the cup held by the CatFAC and the sample with which they obtained the second position in the inland category was Washing Machine . A few weeks after the awards ceremony, we had the opportunity to meet with the Cannamitch team and part of the Ripper Seeds team. For that afternoon we were delighted with a sample of the award-winning plant on that occasion and other flowers, including Criminal + , Old School and Sour Ripper. Sour Ripper was the variety that most caught my attention, since it was a phenotype that strongly denoted its Sour ancestry. The Washing machine was no wonder, full of resin and with a very Bubba kush look with dark tones and tight buds that made it clear that we were facing a very powerful indica. The Old School with that smell so characteristic of a good indica and the Criminal +, which I did not have the opportunity to try since with the other flowers it was more than enough to leave me K.O. I thank the Cannamitch team from here for their sympathy and the good humor with which they visited us.
Ripper Seeds interview with Cannamitch
Ripper Seeds: First of all, congratulations on your award and thank you for participating with our varieties. How was the Washing Machine sample grown? (Soil, Fertilizers, etc ...) Cannamitch: It was grown indoors, with Janeco light mix soil. In 7-liter pots and Bio Bizz brand fertilizers were used. Ripper Seeds: Was the cultivation done from seed, or was it a previously selected cutting? How many seeds were germinated? Cannamitch: The cultivation was made from seeds and 50 units were germinated. Of these, 48 ended up germinating and of those the best 40 were chosen. They were grown in two 600w bulbs each. Ripper Seeds: What could you highlight about this strain? Cannamitch: It is a "stick" type variety, central poo with few and small branches. Perfect for putting the pots together and filling the room well. Ripper Seeds: What other strains have you tried from Ripper Seeds? Which is your favorite ? Cannamitch: Outdoors we have grown Black Valley and Ripper Haze, among others, and indoors, Criminal +, Old School, Washing Machine and Zombie Kush. The truth is that well cultivated we like them all. But the Old School, the Washing, Zombie and Criminal. Each has its time of day. Ripper Seeds: What opinion does the Ripper Seeds bank generate?
